We can replace all firebricks, door seals, glass seals, glass and flue seals.
Our van can carry the most of them, if we dont have it with us, we can order it.
We can also replace inspection covers and seals, or if need be cut one into your existing pipe to enable us to sweep the flue.
Glass needs to be pre ordered as we do not carry this on the van.
It’s the same trade from the Victorian era, but things have improved a little.
We still clean the same chimneys, and in larger homes, we even use the same access points.
But now we can reach them with flexible rods and cameras so there’s no need to climb chimneys anymore.
It’s an ancient trade, and we know it inside and out.
If you’re looking for an experienced company, you’ve come to the right place.
We now utlitlise modern techonley to assist us!
Our dust sheets are professionally cleaned and sanitised.
When we lay our sheets on your carpets, they are exceptionally clean.
One of the reasons people choose us is because we go the extra mile!
Our sheets are laid from your door to the chimney and then protected with heavy-duty plastic coverings, we even supply our own doormat!
When we arrive, we take off our boots, lay the sheets, prepare the chimney, and are ready to work in under seven minutes.
There’s no mess, no soot—nothing at all.
This substance is known as glazed creosote, and it’s highly flammable.
It can form rapidly inside your chimney and may cause dangerous chimney fires if not removed.
Glazed creosote is not only extremely flammable but also highly toxic. If you notice this buildup, please contact us immediately.
Whenever possible, use a flashlight to inspect your chimney. If the buildup appears shiny and has a hardened, glass-like surface similar to the example shown, it’s likely glazed creosote.
We use the Defend Air 500 to ensure the highest air quality during our work.
Its powerful HEPA and activated carbon filters capture fine particles like dust, soot, and odors and it benifits from a tripple stage filter system.
Whether we’re removing nests or working in environments where air quality is crucial, it runs in the background, keeping the air clean and safe.
While our vacuums do the heavy lifting, the Defend Air 500 acts as our silent, invisible guardian, ensuring cleaner air with every job.
When you book with us, we won’t keep you waiting.
The morning of your booking, we will text you to remind you of the appointment.
We will then send you a live map of our journey, after we have left our last job.
It is created "on the fly" so it will stop after we have attended.
Having access to our live map, allows you to prepare for our arrival a little easier.
Kielder Chimney Sweeps cover all of rural Northumberland.
We know our stuff, as ex-gas emergency service engineers, we have
Diplomas, A-levels, and NVQs!
We have installed hundreds of fires, boilers, liners, cookers, and full gas pipes
across the North East of England and Southern Scotland.
Finishing top of the class at Newcastle College as their first ever
(Corgi Registered Gas Installer) just further demonstrates our competence.
You can feel confident we can get the job done to a high standard.
All of our employees are fully CRB checked and vetted by Northumbria Police
with no criminal record and we take care of your home as if it is our own.
We have the specialist equipment needed to thoroughly inspect chimneys for blockages.
These blockages can cause a weak draw, or even a complete loss of airflow.
That’s why chimney CCTV inspections are vital and why we use them daily.
CCTV can reveal stubborn creosote build-ups or partial nests that still allow some airflow but pose serious risks.
While it may be tempting to sweep your own chimney or hire a local handyman with a brush, these hidden dangers will almost certainly be missed.
As the saying goes, you really do get what you pay for.
